Foxfire Teas 2.0!

Hello Everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for all the positive well wishes that you gave Katherine and me for this next stage of Foxfire Teas. It really meant a lot to us. We have a lot of interesting things brewing right now. So here is the update on what's going on at Foxfire Teas. We are currently looking to lease a warehouse space in SE Portland and that should be finalized any day now. This is a fun step for us and our business, and we are looking forward to taking it. The space should be big enough that we can do some tea tasting classes later this fall as well as having a small retail location that initially will be open a couple days a week. That way you can stop on by and pick up your bulk loose leaf tea instead of having us mail it to you. Plus, then we get to see you guys.

How to order Foxfire Teas?

A lot of people are e-mailing orders in right now and that is perfect. We have been doing home delivery (in our Toyota Prius) for a $3 charge plus the cost of tea if you live in inner Portland. Ordering: e-mail us your order and address. We will then e-mail you the total and expected delivery date. You can then leave cash or a check on the front porch if you think you might not be around or we will just ring your doorbell and you can give it to us directly. We like the second one, because then we get to say hi. Or, we can send it to you by mail and you can mail us a check (old school method).

*For the time being loose leaf tea will be sold in paper bags instead of tins, but the amount will be what used to fit in the tins (prices are on the website). When we get the online store going, tea will be sold in 2, 4 and 8 ounce packages.

Very Important!!!

I know this is very short notice, but if you would like to order tea please do so by June 27^th for a June 28^th or 29^th delivery. Otherwise, we won't be delivering or mailing tea until July 18^th because Katherine and I will be away from the office taking continuing education tea classes and visiting our wonderful nephews, who I haven't seen in 3 years. Yeah!

When can I order Foxfire Teas online at www.foxfireteas.com?

We are currently working on this as well. We want to wait until we get settled into our warehouse space to launch the website so it might be a few months yet. You will all be the first to know when the online store goes live, I promise.

June Recipe

It has been absolutely beautiful out recently and I have been drinking boat loads of iced-tea mixers.

Try these out, I bet you will like them.

Sencha with Vitamin Water Essential Orange Mixer

• Steep 3 tbsp of Organic Sencha in 16 ounces of 180° F filtered water for 3 minutes
• Discard tea leaves
• Add 16 ounces of filtered water to steeped tea
• Pack a pint glass full of ice (I prefer crushed)
• Pour tea 3/4 full and top with Vitamin Water
• Garnish with sliced orange

Passion Berry Yerba Mate with ginger beer mixer

Follow the same recipe above, but let Passion Berry Mate steep for 4-5 minutes

• Replace Vitamin Water with Ginger Beer
• Garnish with frozen blueberries or fresh sliced ginger
• A pint glass is great, but a big Bordeaux glass is really nice
