It's hard to believe we're already knocking on the door of the busy holiday season. It's a hectic time of year, whether you're hosting guests for the holidays, filling out your holiday gift or wish list, or attending the endless number of parties between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Despite the busy pace of the next two months, we hope you remember to take some time to relax, sip a nice cup of tea, and reflect on all the things for which to be thankful. I myself am grateful for your patronage and for the great friends and customers we've met since we opened the store two short years ago!

Tea of the Month - Organic and Fair Trade Masala Chai

A traditional South Indian blend of black tea and spices, this tea is best served strong and sweet with steamed milk and sugar. Our blend's ingredients include cardamom, 100% organic black tea leaves, cinnamon, 100% organic ginger, cloves, 100% organic rooibos, star anise, 100% organic honey bush, licorice root, black pepper, and natural ginger flavor.

For a creative and tasty test of this chai tea, visit this month's Foxfire
Favorite restaurant, Vindalho. They've come up with a Masala Chai Tea Creme Brulee that is incredible! Very creamy, spicy and sweet, which perfectly complements the tea. The dessert is served with cardamom cookies, and it's a perfect end to a delicious meal. Definitely check this dessert - and this tea - out, especially this time of year, which begs for the spices of chai.

Foxfire Favorite: Vindalho

Katherine and I ate at Vindalho the other night. We both had the Chicken Tikka, and it was by far the best chicken I have had in my life. We also had some delicious naan with a few house-made dipping sauces on the side. And, of course we couldn't leave without trying the masala chai creme brulee. Off the hook! The food is great and the service is wonderful, plus you can drink Foxfire Teas there too!!
